However, the McIvor family of Higher Oaklands Farm spotted this opportunity in the 1960s, when\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmhouse-biscuits.co.uk\/\">Farmhouse Biscuits<\/a>\u00a0was born.<\/p>\n<p>Growing successfully from tiny roots, Farmhouse Biscuits still operates using the same family values and traditional methods. The manufacturing business has also embedded a culture of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesaferfoodgroup.com\/food-safety-courses.php\">food safety<\/a>, and a dedication to the wellbeing of its 300-strong team. The staff tell us it\u2019s a great place to work, and their hard work shows in a Grade A+ Certification to the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety, for continuous improvement in food safety, hygiene and quality procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Carel van Bentum, Facilities Manager of the Lancashire based production facility explained how\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/34cbfgm\">Safer Food Group<\/a>\u00a0training is woven into the working lives of their team members.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesaferfoodgroup.com\/\">Food Safety\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesaferfoodgroup.com\/allergy-awareness-level-2-versions.php\">Allergen Awareness\u00a0<\/a>form part of a comprehensive induction programme for new staff. Courses are delivered both online and with the help of tutors in a classroom setting. The flexibility of Safer Food Group training is vital in making training work for them.<\/p>\n<p>And\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/34cbfgm\">Safer Food Group<\/a> systems benefit the management team too. Carel keeps a track on learners\u2019 progress, and spots certificates due for renewal using the admin system in his business account \u2013 vital when supporting a big team.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s always rewarding to play a small part in the success of a brilliant business.
