What’s the story?

The Safer Food Group has officially been awarded City & Guilds Assured status. Following a comprehensive and rigorous audit of our entire training programme (evaluating everything from course content and delivery, to accessibility and learner support), City & Guilds has verified that our programmes meet their exceptional standards for vocational training.

This recognition places The Safer Food Group in an elite category: we are now one of only two training providers in our sector to hold this level of external assurance.

Why is it important?

In the food industry, compliance and high safety standards are business-critical. However, HR and Training Managers rarely have the time to audit every external course line-by-line. City & Guilds Assured acts as a third-party guarantee. It removes the guesswork from your procurement process, ensuring that every pound of your L&D budget builds genuine capability across your workforce while safeguarding your business against compliance risks.

Who are The Safer Food Group?

The Safer Food Group is a leading UK provider of digital food safety, hygiene, and compliance training. Built on the philosophy that high academic standards, intuitive digital delivery, and exceptional value should go hand in hand, we equip thousands of food sector professionals and businesses with practical, audit-ready skills every year.

Executive Statements

"Quality and accessibility have always been at the core of what we do at The Safer Food Group. Securing City & Guilds Assured status validates our relentless focus on academic standards. Employers don't have time to audit every course on the market; this partnership gives them total peace of mind that an elite body has already done that work for them."

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • What will change on our team’s certificates?
For all courses completed from 9th September 2026 onwards, the Qualifi logo on digital certificates will be replaced by the prestigious City & Guilds Assured logo. Our CPD accreditation and logo will remain in place as normal.
  • I have staff currently mid-way through a course. Will they get a City & Guilds certificate?
Yes! Anyone who completes their course on or after 9th September 2026 will automatically receive a certificate featuring the City & Guilds Assured badge, with no extra steps required.
  • Will this change how our team studies or takes exams?
Not at all. The City & Guilds audit evaluated our existing training framework and passed it with flying colours. We will work with City & Guilds to add value through continual improvement, to retain our spot as a leading food safety training provider but your team will still enjoy the same flexible, user-friendly digital learning system.
  • Why did The Safer Food Group partner with City & Guilds?
We wanted an academic partner whose reputation matches the high standards we hold ourselves to. City & Guilds provides instant brand recognition for your staff CVs and offers an unbeatable seal of governance and trust.
