The level 2 Safeguarding for Children (5-18) course takes around three hours to complete. You can study at your own pace and return whenever you like.
No. This is a level 2 CPD accredited course, not a regulated qualification or a formal Safeguarding Lead certificate.
As well as giving an introduction to the historical and legal background of safeguarding, the course teaches you how to recognise abuse and safeguarding risks, how to respond to concerns and disclosures, recording safeguarding information and reporting concerns and next steps.
This course is suitable for staff working with children and young people aged 5–18 in schools, colleges and youth settings, including teaching, support and pastoral staff, and volunteers and community workers.
No formal entry requirements. Level 1 English literacy is recommended for all learners.
Yes. A digital CPD certificate is available for immediate download after passing the online exam.
Yes. The safeguarding course includes free exam retakes so you can try again at no extra cost.
